Workplace Matters Ltd - Our Foundation
I started Workplace Matters Ltd because I believe work should be a place where people feel respected, supported, and able to thrive — not somewhere they feel they are merely surviving, to reach the end of each day.
After nearly 30 years working across HR, OD and in leadership roles, I saw the same workplace patterns repeat themselves: people want to do and be their best, but systems, cultures, and confidence gaps often get in the way.
Throughout my career, I have been the person called when things were complex, sensitive, or high‑stakes. I learned how to bring clarity to messy situations, how to support people through change, and how to help organisations make decisions that were both fair and commercially sound. But I also saw how much difference it made when workplaces genuinely cared, when managers had the confidence to lead well, when employees felt heard, and when organisations invested in a culture that lifted people up.
A turning point in my career was recognising how many people, including myself, were struggling silently with menopause at work. I saw talented, dedicated colleagues losing confidence, stepping back, feeling misunderstood or leaving work, not because they lacked ability, but because workplaces were not equipped to provide them with the right support.
Becoming a menopause advocate was not a strategic decision; it was a human one. I wanted to make sure no one felt they had to choose between their health and their career, and that they could speak about menopause in a way that feels normal and supported.
Today, Workplace Matters Ltd brings together everything I care about: evidence‑led HR expertise, practical tools, and guidance that makes a real difference, and a commitment to creating workplaces where people feel valued and able to bring their best to thrive, not just survive. I can work with leaders, HR teams, and organisations of all sizes to build a healthier, fairer and inclusive culture.
At its heart, Workplace Matters Ltd exists because people matter — and when people thrive, organisations do too.
Committed to Practical, People-Centred Change.
